University Project Manager and Senior Business Analyst
Purpose:
The University is in search of a highly motivated and passionate individual who
will serve as a centralized Project Manager and Senior Business Analyst. This role will be
crucial to the future success of the University. The Project Manager will provide
management support for various projects within the University and develop relationships
with key stakeholders. The Project Manager will be tasked with identifying future risks and
creating solutions.
The University is in the process of putting in practices that support strategic alignment of
initiatives to definitive cross functional projects. With limited resources, the university
needs to focus on key initiatives and report on the challenges and successes of them. The
execution of these projects in combination with change management techniques is
essential to move our University forward. Furthermore, the usage of continuous
improvement principles and process engineering are required to ensure that we focus on
all aspects of the University and are efficient stewards. As we are in the early stages of
developing project management and continuous improvement principles, this position will
move between performing business analyst, project manager and portfolio management
work as needed. The goal is to fully implement PMO into the University's strategic plans.

Essential Responsibilities:
- Project Management
- Offer insight and develop key metrics for assigned projects with the use of project management software.
- Facilitates project planning and modify processes to ensure completion of the project.
- Manage cross-departmental projects that are vital to the University.
- Encourage and integrate the use of streamline techniques.
- Manage project integration.
- Identify and mitigate risk of a project.
- Research and implement risk management training for employees.
- Prepare updates and reports of current projects for the executive leadership team.
- Effectively manage resources and coordinate all aspects of the project by overseeing scope, budget, and schedule of the project from inception through completion.
- Monitor project progress and through troubleshooting resolve problems that arise.
- Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
- Provide structure and workflow to move projects from inception to completion
- Effective management of resources (e.g., personnel, budget, information, time) to ensure project completion
- Business Analysis
- Process engineering and continuous improvement
- Identify opportunities to effectively mitigate risks and improve business performance, ensuring defined solutions resolve problems end-to-end
- Lead interdepartmental initiatives targeting the implementation of new products, services and processes, as requested
- Contribute to department effectiveness by understanding the current methods of operation for the various university functions and how automation can be leveraged to improve operations
- Demonstrate research skills: analyze, evaluate and explain information/data from varied higher education resources, both primary and secondary research sources.
- Utilize data management/analysis skills.
- Provide relevant market analysis
- Conduct workflow analysis as needed
- Communicate with internal/external stakeholders effectively and maintain productive relationships
Qualifications:
8+ years of project management, program management or portfolio management experience
Bachelor's Degree
Strong problem-solving skills
Experience using project management tools.
Highly organized and detail oriented.
Strong quantitative and analytical skills
Ability to work with a high performing team
