Program Coordinator, Intercultural Resource Center
Report to: Dean of Student Success and Equity
Temporary position: 4 Months
The Program Coordinator is a temporary position designed to provide assistance to the Dean of Student Success in the day-to-day functions and program implementation of the Intercultural Resource Center. Primary attention will be given to event planning and direct student support services.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide logistical support to a team of student interns responsible for the coordination and implementation of various events that advances cultural intelligence across campus.
- Meet weekly with individual student interns.
- Provide staff presence at events sponsored by the Office of Intercultural Life.
- Administrate the Mosaic Scholars Program in collaboration with the Administrative Assistant.
- Facilitate one virtual All-Scholar Meetings each semester.
- Work collaboratively with the Dean of Student Success and Equity to administer the accountability process for scholarship requirements.
- Provide logistical support for the Act Six Phase III Selection process and the Multicultural Leadership Scholarship application process.
- Provide presence in the Intercultural Resource Center within the University's Covid guidelines
- Participate on the Student Support Network as an essential piece of providing direct student support.
- Participate on the Covid Response Team as an essential piece of providing direct student support
- Support the day-to-day functions of the Intercultural Resource Center in conjunction with the Dean of Student Success and Equity and Administrative Assistant.
- Communicate effectively and courteously with others, including employees, students and the public, in a spirit of teamwork, respect and customer service.
- Demonstrates awareness, respect and appreciation for diversity of culture, background, race, sex, political views, expressions of faith, etc. and works well with a variety of people.
- Other duties as assigned by the Dean of Student Success and Equity.
Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree required
- Strong computer skills and excellent organizational skills
- Ability to manage a number of different tasks concurrently.
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills
- Spanish language proficiency preferred.
- An evangelical Christian commitment and lifestyle consistent with the institution's goals, including signed agreement with GFU Statement of Faith and Community Lifestyle Statement and being in living agreement with same.
- Commitment to an inclusive environment that values diversity, engages global concerns and connects culturally.
