Office Manager - College of Nursing

This position provides management, coordination, and implementation of administrative operations, admission, and accreditation-related functions for the clinical programs and services of the College of Nursing (CON).

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Analyzes and resolves complex issues and develops process improvement (30%)
  • Manages and analyzes data for reports for state and national regulatory/accrediting bodies; Prepares spreadsheets, analyzes and builds reports for budgets, grants, and program evaluation (20%)
  • Builds, maintains, and oversees the nursing admissions processes, including management of Nursing CAS (20%)
  • Develops, implements, and administers departmental office systems and procedures; manages office operations including ordering supplies and equipment, room reservations, and creation/maintenance of all websites and electronic communication tools for all CON programs (15%)
  • Tracks expenses and prepares invoices and expense reports for reimbursement and billing (15%)

Simultaneously does all of the following:

  • Prioritizes and manages multiple projects simultaneously, and provides follow through on issues in a timely manner
  • Supports day to day operations of the CON
  • Uses multiple technical applications including word processing, database management, spreadsheets, graphics, presentation software, electronic calendars, email, etc
  • Serves as principal contact and source of information for customers of the CON, including faculty, students, staff, and external customers
  • Communicates effectively and courteously with others, including employees, students, the public, and external customers
  • Maintains strict confidentiality
  • By actions, words, and lifestyle, is a Christian role model to students, employees, and external customers
  • Demonstrates awareness, respect, and appreciation for diversity of culture, background, race, sex, political views, expressions of faith, etc. and works well with a variety of people
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Two years of college and professional office or project management work. If no college, 3+ years of relevant experience.
  • Excellent professional interpersonal, organizational, time management and communication skills.
  • Experience with complex calendaring and scheduling in a health-related field.
  • Demonstrated skills in team building and problem solving.
  • Experience with program development and process improvement.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • A commitment to working with a diverse population of students is essential; demonstrated experience in this area is preferred.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bilingual Spanish/English
  • Prior experience in higher education
