Event Operations Coordinator

Job Purpose

Supervision of student employees to perform tasks related to events, maintain and track department equipment, coordinate and execute event set ups (load in and load out) and operation of campus events.

Job Impact

There are over 13,000 events annually scheduled on campus. This position provides additional support to campus events to maintain extraordinary experiences to the campus community as we provide services to enhance both routine and large campus events.

Essential Responsibilities

• Supervise student employees
• Coordinate equipment use on campus and maintain equipment inventory
• Coordinate with outside vendors when used for events
• Perform facilities inspection on regular basis and execute necessary work orders prior to events, specifically larger, high profile events
• Coordinate and oversee room set ups (load in and load out) for events

Associated Responsibilities

• Gain proficiency with 25Live to generate reports and necessary information to manage daily events
• Act as a liaison between campus community and event guests
• Attend assigned events and assist with needs as/if they arise
• Administer GFU policies pertaining to facility use

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree
• 1-2 years' Experience
• Full Time Position Monday Friday 8am-5pm
