Doctor of Ministry Assistant Director of Academic Engagement

Job Purpose:
Doctor of Ministry Assistant Director of Academic Engagement assists the Director in providing leadership to the curricular design of the program, in the development of online learning platforms, in overseeing curricular assessment processes, and in developing student retention strategies.

Qualifications:

• Master's degree required (theological education preferred)
• 3-5 years of professional experience (administration, ministry, education)
• Oriented toward administrative detail
• Tech savvy
• Ability to work and interact with different teams/leaders in multiple locations
• Willingness and ability to engage with different cultural perspectives
• Familiarity with Google Suite, MS Office Suite

Administrative position: .5FTE

Responsibilities:

Assists Director with strategic planning for curricular design, assessment processes,
and student retention.

Develop and manage online curricular environments: Responsible for ongoing
curricular design and maintenance, including overseeing course syllabi and assignment
creation and internal organization.

Creates assessment tools, compiles data, and leads the evaluation of the academic assessment data.

Manage student progress: Monitoring student progress - rosters/registration, student online participation, live chat oversight, and gathering grading data at the end of the semester for Lead Mentors. Tracks LOAs and incompletes. Manages system for oral defenses scheduling. Conducts exit interviews. Includes communications with students and faculty.

Travel: Includes some travel (Advances / Retreats or liaison to JDS events)
