George Fox Digital seeks a full-time Product Manager for a limited term of 90 days.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Product Strategy & Definition:
    • Conducting market research - Determines customers' needs and desires by specifying the research needed to obtain market information, engaging directly with current or potential customers, or with field salespeople and evaluating multiple sources of input.
    • Generating product requirements & target specifications - Recommends the nature and scope of present and future product lines and product feature priorities based on analysis of customer needs and business model assumptions. Defines product differentiation by evaluating competing alternatives relative to the company's product and the existing and unmet needs of the target customers.
    • Developing the business case - Brings new products to market by analyzing proposed product requirements and product development programs; preparing return-on-investment analyses; establishing time schedules with engineering and manufacturing.
  • Product Business Operation (demand/supply/revenue/profitability):
    • Facilitating development and production timetables - Introduces and markets new products by developing time-integrated plans with engineering, manufacturing, sales, and marketing.
    • Setting and monitoring pricing strategies - Determines product pricing by utilizing market research data; reviewing production and sales costs; competitive analysis; anticipating volume; costing special and customized orders.
    • Forecasting demand, coordinating production, & allocating inventory - Facilitates inventory turnover and product availability by reviewing and adjusting inventory levels and production schedules. Provides information for management by preparing short-term and long-term product sales forecasts and special reports and analyses.
  • Product Marketing & Promotion:
    • Product positioning and branding defining the unique position the product should occupy in the mind of the target market and associating that with product naming and branding.
    • Developing market awareness and promotional strategies to drive demand - Provides source data for product line communications by defining product marketing communication objectives. Defines programs and incentives for direct and indirect sales resources and distribution channel partners to drive demand. Obtains product market share by working with the sales director to develop product sales strategies.
  • People Manager:
    • Completes operational requirements by scheduling and assigning employees and monitoring and following up on work results.
    • Maintains product management staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees.
    • Maintains product management staff job results by counseling and disciplining employees; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results.
    • Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.
    • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
