College of Business Graduate Program Administrator

George Fox University announces a temporary administrative position starting on March 1, 2021. The successful candidate should be capable of leading graduate programs and should have 3-5 years of leadership experience in higher education. This position will be responsible for working with the dean in the oversight of the full-time MBA, Part-time MBA, DBA program as well as holding the majority of the responsibility for launching the new Part-time MBA program in Fall 2021.

The College of Business is the largest academic unit by enrollment in the university with approximately 320 undergraduate students, 65 MBA students, and 60 DBA students. Courses for the undergraduate business and economics programs, the full-time MBA program and the DBA program are offered on our main campus in Newberg, Oregon. Courses for the part-time MBA program are offered at our center in Portland (Tigard), Oregon. The College's programs are accredited by ACBSP.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• The ongoing creation of a new PT MBA program including but not limited to marketing, course design, enrolment, canvas build, conversations with faculty around new content, creating course objectives and course topics, implement all aspects in curriculum map, etc.
• FTMBA program/present PTMBA/DBA program
  • Assist with any programmatic issues that come up in the program: adjuncts, course issues, etc.
  • Assist with any student issues that come up with professors, grades, sickness, etc.
  • Assist with all marketing and enrolment for all programs
  • Assist with the roll-out of approved curriculum changes and all related tasks.
• Work with the dean on all tasks related to the graduate programs

Qualifications

• An earned doctorate in management or a relevant discipline.
• Practical business experience and ongoing engagement with the business community through consultation, governance, or professional associations are preferred.
• Previous experience leading graduate programs
• Knowledge of and ability to implement ACBSP accreditation
• A commitment to working with a diverse population of students is essential; demonstrated experience in this area is preferred.

Salary and Rank

An appointment at the temporary associate dean level is anticipated. Salary and benefits are competitive with comparable institutions.
