Purpose

George Fox University's highly successful Admissions Office is looking for a team-oriented, curious and solutions-focused person to serve as an Admissions Communications Manager.  We are looking for someone who truly believes that George Fox University is the Christian university of choice and will work diligently to make sure our message reaches the correct people, in the right way.

This position is designed to enhance recruiting efforts and achieve the enrollment goals of the University by providing technical and operational support to the admissions teams through the oversight and management of communications in our CRM (Technolutions Slate). Specifically, this position builds out and manages the technical aspects of drip communication sequences, print mailing sequences, telerecruiting and all other communication pertaining to student recruitment across assigned programs. This requires a heavy focus on basic html, query building and dynamic content. This position will work closely with each Admissions Counselors, as well as Admissions Content Managers, to help build personalized, effective communications for students throughout the admissions process.

The ability to understand systems, complex processes, and how data relates is pivotal to the functions, and therefore the success, of our admissions teams in their communication to and recruitment of prospective students. The role requires understanding of the entire recruitment process, including the individual needs of the different programs, as well as in-depth understanding and management of University data. This role will occasionally work with other offices throughout the University to answer questions pertaining to data and/or help troubleshoot.

Technolutions Slate or Admissions experience is not required.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the technical aspects for admissions communications; including query building and dynamic content.
  • Provide front-line level technical and operational query support to admissions counselors.
  • Work with the rest of the operations team to effectively and efficiently manage admissions data.
  • Work towards continuous improvement for data and communication sequence management in the support of admissions staff needs.

Associated Responsibilities

  • Train admissions staff on CRM (Slate) functionality, including; building communications, query building, and dynamic content.
  • Contribute to the work of continued innovation and improvement across Admissions Operations
  • Continuing education on CRM (Slate) functionality with the goal of improving our capabilities across the Enrollment division.
  • Respond to counselors in a timely and efficient manner. Work directly with the Admissions Directors and Associate Director of Admissions for Systems to prioritize each project.
  • Perform address and email data validation, thorough testing of emails before launch, auditing of ongoing campaigns, and general communications maintenance.
  • Create email templates, queries, documentation, and training that empowers counselors to implement their own communications and events.
  • Coordinate with material vendors and the Associate director of Admissions for Systems to print, package, and send print mailings in a timely manner.
  • Function as the point person and technical specialist for assigned admissions programs in regards to query building and all data/fields in our CRM (Technolutions Slate).

Additional Information:

  • This position will split time between our Newberg and Portland campuses. With the majority of time being spent on our Portland campus.
  • The person in this position will report directly to the Associate Director of Admissions for Systems but will work closely with the Directors of our admissions offices and the Admissions Content Managers in our Marketing and Communications Office.
  • A person will be successful in this position if they can continually learn and adapt in a quick pace environment.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree is required
  • Two years of experience.
  • An inquiring mind; a willingness to challenge the status quo.
  • Strong problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
